Soldering Workshop beginner

Get Started with Soldering!

In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn the basics of soldering by building simple electronic kits or creating fun little creatures made from recycled electronic parts.

We’ll have a range of soldering kits available – some simple, some a bit more advanced – featuring effects like blinking LEDs and small functional circuits.

You can see a few examples here: https://chaos.social/@munichmakerlab/114380294486538831

The main focus of the workshop is getting started with soldering. No prior experience is necessary! We can also take a quick look at how the components work and what the circuits do, but the emphasis is on learning to solder and having fun.

The duration depends on what you choose to make: the smallest kits take about 30–60 minutes, while the more advanced ones may take longer. You’re welcome to build as many kits or creatures as you like – the event is open-ended.

The workshop is also suitable for children, as long as they are accompanied by an adult. You only need one ticket per soldering station, so for example, one parent with one child just needs a single ticket.

Participation is free, but donations are appreciated to help cover material costs.

Please note that not all kits can be taken home – we’re testing a few new ones and need some examples for future workshops and our demo shelf.
